Slow Food, who hosts this amazing event has not announced a date yet. Once a year we'll journey to Italy for the world’s biggest international cheese event where we'll immerse in cheese, wine, charcuterie, bread and pasta. Dine at Michelin restaurants, hunt for truffles, drink Barolo, cook in a rustic kitchen, and spend a few days at the cheese festival while eating our way around Piemonte.
Eat exquisite food in stunning UNESCO. From the hand-made mosaic patterned streets of Lisbon, to the ancient Moorish ruins in Sintra, and the UNESCO wine region of Porto and the Douro Valley, you will not find nicer people and more delicious food. We’ll taste it all and drink in the bounty of Portugal. Portugal keeps much of its wine, rich cheeses, luscious charcuterie, olive oil, produce and seafood to itself, so one must go there to taste all of it. Go any time or join our small group in October of 2023.
The much-anticipated Christmas Markets begin in November and last through the end of December. Artisans from villages, towns and nearby cities travel to the markets to display and sell their handmade goods. Going back to the Middle Ages in Central Europe, the markets now extend to nearly all of Europe. We will start in Vienna and end in Paris, with stops in tiny villages to see and taste the local seasonal traditions. Join our group as a solo or choose your own date for this adventure.
The ancient Greeks discovered and invented many of the foods and techniques used in modern cuisines. We'll be exploring markets dating back centuries, cooking with Greek chefs, finding the best fresh local ingredients and eating in family run tabernas, as well as Michelin rated restaurants. We will immerse ourselves in the culinary delights around Athens, Nafplion, the Peloponnese in ancient Greece and the islands.
Croatia's truffles, oysters, seafood, meat, wine and olive oil rival the best in the world. Istria in the north and Dalmatia in the south sit just off the blue Adriatic surrounded by jagged mountains and forests with exquisite waterfalls. On our journeys you will taste it all and be welcomed by some the most hospitable people anywhere. You'll sample the delicacies of the country in medieval UNESCO Heritage villages, on tiny islands with their own unique cuisine wines, on the edge of the sea.
